Venus Doom:

Simone’s Notes:

Venus was commonly associated with the Greek goddess Aphrodite and the Etruscan deity Turan, borrowing aspects from each. Additionally, Venus has been compared to other goddesses of love, Tlahuizcalpantecuhtli in Aztec mythology, Kukulcan in Maya mythology, Frigg and Freyja in the Norse mythos, and Ushas in Vedic religion. Ushas is also linked to Venus by a Sanskrit epithet ascribed to her, vanas, which is cognate to Venus, suggesting a Proto-Indo-European link via the reconstructed stem *wen- "to desire". Another interesting association with Venus is the Latvian god Auseklis, whose name derives from the root aus-, meaning "dawn". Auseklis and Meness, whose name means "moon", are both Dieva deli. Like other major Roman deities, Venus was ascribed a number of epithets to refer to different aspects or roles of the goddess. Venus Acidalia was, according to Servius, derived from the well Acidalius near Orchomenus, in which Venus used to bathe with the Graces; others connect the name with the Greek acides, i.e. cares or troubles.

Venus Cloacina ("Venus the Purifier"), was a fusion of Venus with the Etruscan water goddess Cloacina, likely resulting from a statue of Venus being prominent near the Cloaca Maxima, Rome's sewer system. The statue was erected on the spot where peace was concluded between the Romans and Sabines.

Venus Erycina ("Venus from Eryx"), also called Venus Erucina, originated on Mount Eryx in western Sicily. Temples were erected to her on the Capitoline Hill and outside the Porta Collina. She embodied "impure" love, and was the patron goddess of prostitutes.

Venus Felix ("Lucky Venus") was an epithet used for a temple on the Esquiline Hill and for a temple constructed by Hadrian dedicated to "Venus Felix et Roma Aeterna" ("Favorable Venus and Eternal Rome") on the north side of the Via Sacra. This epithet is also used for a specific sculpture at the Vatican Museums.

Venus Genetrix ("Mother Venus") was Venus in her role as the ancestress of the Roman people, a goddess of motherhood and domesticity. A festival was held in her honor on September 26. As Venus was regarded as the mother of the Julian gens in particular, Julius Caesar dedicated a temple to her in Rome. This name has also attached to an iconological type of statue of Aphrodite/Venus.

Syd turned on the light to Janine’s box in the next morning. The light flashed on bright on the other side. Janine was lying on the ground squinting at him. The deity smiled at the half-breed brightly.

“Hello there, Janine!” he said aloud. The woman just glared at him. Syd smirked at her.

“How are you today?” he asked her. She flipped for off again. The deity just looked at Janine eyed him. “Typical!” he thought. “No way to express any bitterness!

“Okay, I guess!” Syd replied. “Shall we begin?” Janine just kept glaring at him crossly.

“I’ll take that as a yes,” the deity went on. Then, he cranked up the machine and got right to work. Janine tried to look and see what he was doing. Sadly just like everything else on the outside, she just couldn’t see it. Syd was getting annoyed on the other side.

“Keep still!” he barked. “I can’t get a proper reading on you when you try to look around!” Janine glared at him again and flipped him off a second time. Syd rolled his eyes. “Can’t you do anything else besides give the finger?” Syd continued on with his research.

Within minutes, the deity was complete. He looked up at Janine smiling.

“You’re all clear,” he said. “But you’re not ready yet. So, you’ll have to there until we need you.” He turned out the light and left the lab. Janine sat all alone in the dark again.

In the apartments, Leon was in for a little surprise. He made it back to his apartment stressed out. It was September, but it was still hot outside. That wasn’t the real problem, however. It was the second month of the harvest. The fallen ones were gaining up on the public really fast. More and more bodies were turning up all over the place. If it wasn’t bodies, it was more fallen ones. The deities were slowly getting in over their heads now. They needed some back-up. But where could they could they turn to? The Aizen Myo-o Academy was working as fast and as hard as they could. Sadly, it wasn’t enough. They needed a stronger force. But where could they go for that? The options were pretty thin at the moment. It wasn’t time to use Janine just yet. But the problems were only to get worse.

Leon slowly opened his door. He found it already unlocked. Suspicion caught him right away. The deity looked around inside quickly. The smell of perfume was heavy in the room. It wasn’t the cheap kind either. This was the expensive name brand for Paris, France or any other European country. A woman was here in this apartment. Leon wasn’t liking who so far. “Damn it,” he thought. “I told her not to come after me anymore!” The deity kept looking around. No one was in sight so far. Leon kept up his guard. She could be anywhere. She was just sneaky like that. Then, he heard some soft music. The deity listened it closer. It was coming from down the hall. Leon crept down in silence. Old French music, how typical of her. She loved anything French. It was how she was.

Leon made it back to his bedroom. He opened the door quickly. No one was in sight. The deity looked around the room quickly. Still nothing. Leon slowly closed the door. And there she was! White Rabbit was hiding behind the front door all along. White Rabbit looked just as sexy as before. Her hair was much shorter now. Her slender eyes were dead-locked on him. Leon was really pissed off now.

“What the hell are you doing here?!?” he barked. White Rabbit looked crushed.

“Aw, Leon!” she said. “Is that anyway to greet your mistress?” Leon’s blood began to boil even more. However, something else was present. Was he… lusting after her? He was fighting it off to chew her out.

“You’re not my mistress!” he said. “I left you years ago!”

“That might be true,” she replied. “But you still have the same feelings as you did before you left me for Cassie!” Leon went solemn and sad at the mention of Cassie’s name. Cassie. So many painful memories came flooding back into his mind. He missed her so badly. Her soft blonde hair, deep blue eyes, soft cheeks and skin, plump lips, her laugh, her voice, her singing, and her love. White Rabbit knew that she had hit a soft area with him. She decided to keep working her magic with him. The woman took Leon tightly into her arms. The perfume almost choked him back into reality. He tried to push away, but White Rabbit held him firmly.

“Let go!” Leon snapped. White Rabbit looked at him calmly.

“Why?” she asked him. The deity was trapped in silence. He really couldn’t think of a reason for her to get off. In truth, Leon missed White Rabbit’s touch. He missed her kisses. He missed being between her legs. Her perfume brought back to so much. His mistress knew that too well. She saw it in his eyes. Many times before, White Rabbit just pursued men and won them. They all in return said that they loved her. But it was all meaningless. But, Leon was different. He was very special to her. Leon actually and truly… loved here. Even though she was taught to never fell weak for love, White Rabbit just couldn’t let Leon go. She was just that determined to have him. That was why she was willing to pull any trick have him in her bed over and over again. The virus in her blood was working on that perfectly. There was only one thing left to do.

“Awww,” White Rabbit said to him softly. “I know how you feel.” Then, she lightly kissed him on the lips. That was the final straw. Leon couldn’t take it anymore. He kissed her back in a deep rush. He took her lovingly into his arms. White Rabbit pushed him back onto the bed. The couple didn’t stop kissing at all. In fact, it went even farther. They stripped down and made love on the spot. White Rabbit really missed her lover so much. That night she drugged him was the only time that they had slept together in years. It felt like they hadn’t done it in years. This was just waking up old feelings that she had for him. “Oh yes!” she thought. “I have to keep him around no matter what!

Leon was enjoying himself as well. It had been so long for him as well. Sure he and Gemma made love a few times. But, it was never really like what he had with White Rabbit. She cured him of his sorrow of losing Cassie. He came to the madam days after Cassie’s funeral. He was a young heart-broken lover then. The deity was desperate to numb the pain like her normally did before his love died. Leon found himself right at White Rabbit’s door. He knocked on it. White Rabbit opened up and let him in. She lead into her house and bedroom. And from there, was a long and smutty history. Their “arrangement” went on like this for decades. But then like all of the others, White Rabbit got tired of him and let him go. Sure they got back together a few more times, but they would always break up again. Finally, Leon had enough and wanted a stable relationship. So, he and White Rabbit parted ways. It was years later that he and Gemma would get together and form a beautiful relationship. White Rabbit never crossed his mind until the fallen ones resurfaced in the living realm. Leon was angry with her and them at first. But now, he was happy to be back with White Rabbit again.

The deity came hard within his mistress. He moaned loudly in her mouth. Her tongue lightly flicked his for the last time before he rolled off of her. Both lied beside of each other panting.

“That was the best!” Leon said aloud in bliss. White Rabbit turned to him smiling. She rolled over on top of him and lightly kissed him on the lips. The deity kissed back. His mistress leaned in close to his ear.

“We mustn’t tell Gemma about this!” she whispered to him. As if in a trance, Leon nodded back at her. White Rabbit smiled at him wickedly. She knew that she had won. Now, it was time bask in the victory. The couple went another steamy round of lovemaking.

Unfortunately, Gemma was outside the bedroom door watching them. She had come in from scouting the area. Something inside of her told her to come home. Now, she knew why. Her greatest fears were confirmed. Leon and White Rabbit were rekindling their relationship. The young girl deity couldn’t even move at first. She was just froze there in shock and sorrow. There was only one thing for her to do now.

Gemma made it over to Molly’s map in the hallway. She had the pen clutched tightly in her small hand. This was so bad, but he did a greater wrong to her this afternoon. Gemma drew in a deep breath and uncapped the thick black pen. The deity began her proclamation of the truth. When she was done, Gemma stepped back and stared at the map. She had just put Leon’s relationships to her, Cassie, and White Rabbit. A strange sense of peace came over the girl. The truth was now out for the world to see.
