An aphrodisiac is a substance that is used in the belief that it increases sexual desire. The name comes from Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of sensuality and love. Throughout history, many foods, drinks, and behaviors have had a reputation for making sex more attainable and/or pleasurable. However, from a historical and scientific standpoint, the alleged results may have been mainly due to mere belief by their users that they would be effective. In particular, Western medical science has no substantiated claims that any particular food increases sexual desire or performance. Some aphrodisiacs gain their reputation from the principles of sympathetic magic, for example oysters, due to their shape. The same factor explains the trade in the phallic-looking horn of the rhinoceros. Other animal-based aphrodisiacs gain their reputation from the apparent virility or aggressiveness of the animal source, such as tiger penis.
Two days after Christmas, a new drug went out on the street. The “Love Drug” was its name. It was said to give high sexual energy to its users. So, of course young couples lined up to get it a shot. Pretty soon, everyone wanted a piece of the action. Some were drawn into these wonder pills. Others, like the higher officers of the military, had their doubts.
“Think it’s a scam?” Havoc asked Breda as they were walking back to their base after their lunch break. They saw the banner in the drug store window. Breda thought about it for a second.
“Wouldn’t be surprised if it was,” he said. Then, an interesting thought crossed his mind. “Hey Havoc,” Breda spoke up.
“Yeah?” his buddy asked. Breda leaned in really close to his pal.
“What if those Fallen Ones are behind this?” he asked. Havoc looked at him for a moment. Breda expected him to say that he was being silly. Instead, his buddy thought about that for a moment.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if they were,” he mumbled. Breda went quiet there. He hoped that his thought would be dismissed his ridiculous. However, the current situation they were all in was too deep for jokes now. Both of them knew that well. It would have been worse if they knew had right they were.
At the drug store, Dr. Pierce was tending to the new drugs in disguise as a pharmacist. So far, this part of the plan was just plain dull to him. “Why am I stuck doing this shit?” he thought. “I want to be experimenting on my pets!” Yet, he had to sell the pills to create more slaves to strengthen Manami. Since he used to be a doctor, the Fallen Princess found it fitting for him to be the ones to sell the pills along with Victoria and Little Iris. Dr. Pierce thought about that little point Manami getting stronger once more. He began to smiled again. “Would be nice to have more nurses with my experiments!” the Good Doctor thought. With that, he looked up when the store door bell rang. Another young couple walked through the door. Dr. Pierce studied them closely. The man looked like an intern at a big shot company that was currently growing. The woman looked like a fresh high school grad now trying to get into college. They seemed to have a blooming relationship between them. Dr. Pierce smirked to himself. “Perfect prey!” he thought. The couple approached the counter.
“Excuse me, sir,” the man said. “Do you have any of that stock of the Love Drug?” The Good Doctor smiled at him in fake cheerfulness.
“You’re in luck today, young man!” he replied. “We just got in a new batch this morning. How many do you need?”
“Just one packet,” the woman answered. “We’re not sure if they will work just yet or not.” Dr. Pierce smirked at her in his head. “Oh they will work alright,” he thought in malice. “You will join us really soon!”
“Very well,” he said. “I will give you a sample packet to try for a week. If you’re not happy, I’ll gracefully give you your money back.” The couple looked at him happily.
“Great!” the young man said. “We’ll take it!”
“Very well,” Dr. Pierce told them. “I will get you one sample pack, coming up!” The couple waited on in excitement as the Good Doctor went to the back to collect the Love Drug. Another couple fell right into the net. He returned with the drugs right away.
“Here you are,” he said as he handed the couple the drugs. The man looked at him excited.
“Thanks sir!” he exclaimed. Dr. Pierce gave him a fake smile and nodded.
“Anytime!” he spoke back. The man paid for the pills and took them. The incubus doctor watched as they walked away. He smirked to himself coldly. The army would growing soon.
The succubi all plotted this scheme down to the finest detail. The pills are made with Manami’s own blood. It’s all similar to Ai-Oni’s method of poisoning. Only, Manami’s poison is a little bit slower. The symptoms take three days to manifest. Lucky for the Fallen Ones, they had all of the time in world on their hands. Just enough to sit back and watch it all unfold.
Meanwhile, Edward was preparing for a little game of his own. He found Alex out cold in the woods. The fallen alchemist smirked to himself. “Well now,” he thought. “Looks like my Christmas came after all!” Edward picked up the boy by the ankles and dragged into a cabin just down the road. There, he lied the boy down on the table, stripped him of his clothes, and chained him down really good. The alchemist then went over to a table covered with different tools and instruments. Serkan and Dr. Pierce sure were nice enough to let him borrow their things for Little Alex until New Year’s Eve. This would be great!
The incubus alchemist began to set up shop. He filled up an injection needle with a powerful downer cocktail. Edward smirked at liquid inside the needle. This would be a great game to close out the year! He turned around to the out cold little pet. Edward slowly walked over to Alex on the table. He smiled at his little defenseless toy. He jabbed the needle into the boy’s neck and drained the cocktail into him. The corrupt alchemist smirked at his work.
“Let’s play!” he thought.
