Stealing Heaven:

Simone’s Notes:

A wedding is a ceremony that celebrates the beginning of a marriage or civil union. Wedding traditions and customs vary greatly between cultures, ethnic groups, religions, countries, and social classes. In some countries, cultures and religions, the actual act of marriage begins during the wedding ceremony. In others, the legal act of marriage occurs at the time of signing a marriage license or other legal document, and the wedding is then an opportunity to perform a traditional ceremony and celebrate with friends and family. A woman being married is called a bride, a man called a bridegroom, after the ceremony they become a wife and a husband. Nuptial is the adjective of "wedding". It is used for example in zoology to denote plumage, coloration, behavior, etc related to or occurring in the mating season.

The virus seemed to bring wedding fever to the crew. There are three engagements now. That means three weddings to plan. As usual, there are problems with these engagements. The path to the wedding is a headache at times. Time to sit back watch the next act unfold.

Jean + Jaks

Mustang was finally getting over Riza at long last. But sadly, he would be hit with another annoyance. It started on the third day of July. The lt. gen. and his crew were in his office as usual. Roy came to a realization that morning. He really couldn’t stand Nurse Jacilyn Ray at all. But, Havoc was madly in love with her. They would even get married. Roy shuttered at thought in disgust. Falman noticed right away.

“Sir,” he said with genuine concern. “Is there a problem?” Mustang looked up at him trying to put on his arrogant act at times like this He opened his mouth to talk. The men saw right through his little act.

“It’s Nurse Ray, isn’t it?” Breda asked. Mustang shut his mouth quickly. They figured it out. He looked around nervously. Four pairs of eyes were locked on him. They were waiting for him to state obvious. Mustang swallowed hard silently. He decided to hell with it, he would just come out and say it.

“The day Havoc and Nurse Ray get married,” he said boldly. “Is the day I go and hang myself!” The men all looked at their leader a little concerned. Mustang hadn’t been so desperate about something he couldn’t stand before. Hawkeye-Riis just kept herself quiet. At least now, he was leaving her and Jakob alone now. “I only feel sorry for lt. Havoc now,” she thought. Right then, the doors blew open wide. The other Eastern dogs looked up. Havoc was standing in the doorway. He was a glow as usual. Mustang began to grit his teeth in anger. He wanted to wipe away Havoc’s permanent goofy grin off of his face. Roy liked him better when his luck with women was lousy. The new Havoc was next to annoying. The lt. stepped in cheerful. He looked at all of his comrades with brightness in his eyes. They all waited for him to speak. Jean kept on smiling.

“Everyone!” he announced. “Jacilyn and I are getting married!” There was a long pause in the room. The other dogs stared at him in surprise. Mustang’s face dropped at that news. The one thing he didn’t want happen happened. Breda rose to his feet applauding.

“That’s great for you!” the lt. said aloud to his friend. The other three subordinates joined him in clapping for Havoc.

“Thank you, guys!” the lt. said aloud. Then he turned to Mustang.

“Aren’t you happy for me, boss?” Havoc asked, making things even worse for the Lt. Gen. Mustang sat in pale silence. He was now in a trap. He had only two options: Lie and betray himself or tell the truth and look like a total bastard. So, Roy did the sensible thing: lie. He put up his hands and sighed.

“Yes!” he said aloud. “I am happy for you!” Havoc’s face grew even brighter.

“Great!” he said aloud. Mustang sighed annoyed. The one thing he didn’t want to happen actually happened. He was trapped now.

“You finally said yes to him?” Izzie asked her friend at St. Mary’s Touch hospital on the same morning. The head nurse had just broken the news to her friends.

“Yep!” Jaks replied. Her friends all looked amazed. The head nurse noticed the looks on their faces.

“What?” she asked. The other nurses just quickly shook their heads.

“Nothing!” Daphine replied quickly. “It’s just…” Jaks raised an eyebrow at her.

“You never thought that I would make it down the altar?” she asked in a curious voice.

“Yeah,” Mia answered.

“Oh,” Jacilyn replied. It suddenly all got quiet. The other nurses looked at her nervously and waited. They thought Jaks would get mad at that statement. But instead, she smirked at them.

“You don’t seem to believe I’ll make it down the altar, do you?” she asked.

“We didn’t say that, babe,” Anjia replied. The head nurse was still smirking.

“Oh I know you didn’t,” she went on. “But I will prove that I am marrying material and make it all the way down the altar and see it all the way to the end.” Then she headed right back to work. Her friends looked at each other nervously. They didn’t know what was going to happen now. The best that they could do was watch out. Jaks was unpredictable when worked-up.

The news of Havoc’s engagement to Jacilyn spread faster than wildfire. The men were all still shocked that he still had a girlfriend. Breda, Fuery, and Falman were really happy for him. Mustang on the other hand, wasn’t having it so well with the news. His lt. was marrying the one woman he couldn’t stand. He swore that if he heard that Havoc was getting married he would snap. Mustang had his head buried in his hands. This was all giving him a total headache. But then, an idea came into his mind. Roy slowly rose his head with a grin on his face. “I’ll get one of Havoc’s old girlfriends and have her distract him from the wedding!” he thought. “Then she’ll drive Jaks away for good!” The lt. gen. began snickering to himself wickedly. He was sure that he was going to win this time.

“How did your friends take it?” Havoc asked his wife-to-be that evening as they sat on the couch in the apartment that they shared. His woman cuddled up close to him.

“I don’t think they believe I’ll down the aisle.” Jaks replied. “How did your friends take it?” The lt. just shrugged.

“They took it fine,” he replied. “But I’m not so sure about Mustang.” Jacilyn lightly laid her head down on Jean’s shoulder. Her boyfriend lightly brushed aside her bangs and lightly kissed her on the forehead. Jaks looked up at him smiling.

“We still have to tell our families,” Havoc said to her softly. His fiancee looked up at him with sweet little eyes that said, “Why?” to him.

“Do we have to?” she asked with a sweet little pout. He held her hand tightly.

“We’ll do it together,” Havoc assured her kindly.

“Promise?” his love asked. Havoc kissed her on the forehead as a promise. Jaks looked up at him and lightly kissed him on the lips. They didn’t stop kissing from there. The lt. lightly pushed back his soon to be wife on the couch and got to work from there. It would look like they would make it just fine.

Yasmine + Steven

“YOU SAID WHAT?!?” Syd yelled out in his living room in complete stress. She had just broken the news of her engagement to her friends. Ella, Leon, and Gemma were really happy for her. But Syd on the other hand, well you guessed it.

“I asked him to marry me,” Yasmine repeated. “And Steven said yes.” Her boss looked up at her in stress. He looked as if he would scream again.

“But WHY?!?” he yelled out. The deity just shrugged.

“Because,” she replied. “I love him.” Syd snorted.

“So?” he asked. Yas kind of smiled.

“What is the problem, Sydney?” Ella asked innocently. “Why don’t you want her to get married?” Her bloke looked up at her nervously.

“Because,” he replied. “We have a mission to carry out! Remember?” He looked at all of her faces. They didn’t seem to believe him at all. Silence was all around. Syd seemed to be in an ugly trap at the moment. He really didn’t want to speak the truth. But they saw right through him.

“You don’t like Steven, do you?” Yasmine asked. The deity froze for a moment. He looked at all of his crew. Then he bit his lip nervously.

“Y-Yes!” he admitted. They all tried to look surprised.

“But why?” Gemma asked innocently. Syd really tried not to speak at all. But the moment betrayed him. The deity just couldn’t hold back anymore.

“He’s so stupid!” he yelled out. “Steven is a flaming idiot! The guy is a complete klutz and very much out of it! Why the hell would you marry him for?!? Don’t do it! You’ll ruin everything!” Then he stormed out of the room. More silence fell all around the crew. Yas turned to her friends.

“Well,” she said calmly. “What do you guys think?” Ella stepped forward.

“I say go ahead and marry him!” she encouraged. Yasmine looked at the other two. Leon and Gemma were nodding with smiles on their faces. The engaged looked at them with an eyebrow at them.

“Are you saying this to piss Syd off?” she asked out of curiosity. They all kept smiling at her innocently. Ella just shrugged at her innocently.

“I personally just want you to be happy with whoever you like,” she replied. “Plus I just want to see Syd throw up over this little union for years to come!” Yasmine turned to the other couple.

“Gemma?” she asked. The girl kept smiling.

“Go on,” she said. “You two seem to be so much in love, who are we to stop you?” Then, Yas looked at Leon for a final answer.

“Leon?” she asked. The deity walked over to her and put his hand onto her sweet shoulder.

“Do whatever makes you happy!” he responded. The deity just smiled at those words.

“Thanks guys!” she said with a bow. Her friends just applauded to her happily. Syd was watching them from the hall. He just shook his head in disgust. “Why Steven?” he thought. “Why that idiot?” The deity lowered his head again and shook in hard. He was not going to enjoy this as much anyone. But what did Yasmine care? She was happy to be married to the man she loved and cared for.

Sophie + Jamie

“Have you started to plan your wedding yet?” Gracia asked Sophie.

“Not really,” the bride-to-be replied in a flushed way. They were with the other WAGs in the pool room of the apartments. Sophie and Jamie had just now set a date for their wedding. They were to wed on August seventeenth. So far, they didn’t have many wedding plans. Sophie just breathed out at such a question.

“I don’t even know where to begin!” she exclaimed. “I mean there is so much to do…” Kim lightly put her hand upon hers.

“There, there,” she said softly to her friend. “That’s what we are here for.” Sophie looked at her in light surprise.

“You mean you’ll help me?” she asked.

“Yeah!” the other WAGs replied. Sophie took in a deep breath.

“Okay,” she replied. Then she pulled out a little red notebook, opened it, and took out a pen.

“All right,” she said. “We are getting married on the seventeenth of August and that’s all I have. Do any of you have any suggestions?” The other WAGs thought about that for a moment.

“Have you thought of what flowers you want yet?” Daisy asked.

“I’m torn between roses and lilies,” Sophie replied.

“Ooo go with lilies!” Anika suggested. “Roses are too cliched.”

“Yeah!” Kim agreed.

“Alright,” Sophie said as she wrote down the suggestion. “But jasmines are nice too. Why not both?” Then she wrote down jasmines as well. Kim just shrugged.

“That works too.” she said.

“Any colors?” Gracia asked.

“Maybe yellow or pink,” Sophie replied. “Just something light and playful colors.”

“Those are good,” Viola agreed. “Maybe a little white as well.”

“And some light purple,” Monique threw out. Sophie was writing it all down as fast as she could. She was getting really excited by the second. “I’m actually getting married!” she thought in happiness. “I can’t believe! Must stay focused!

“I’m going to look for my dress in different fashion magazines,” Sophie spoke up. “I want something simple, but yet stands out in time for ages to come.”

“Good plan,” Daisy said. “Don’t go for hand-me-downs. It’s just tacky.”

“I can see your point,” Sophie replied. Then she wrote down that suggestion. She couldn’t help but to smile to herself. “Pretty soon,” she said out loud. “We’ll have to plan for Kim’s wedding.”

“No way!” the main WAG said quickly. “I am not getting married, ever!”

“Don’t be so sure,” Gracia replied in a light way. “It could happen!”

“Dream on!” the main WAG told her back. “Not going to happen! Not in a million years!”

“You never know…” Viola threw in.

“Keep on dreaming and wishing!” Kim argued back.

The other WAGs giggled at her non-matrimony protests. She had been with Andrew for ten years and they still refused to tie the knot. Some of them were secretly

“Okay people!” she said aloud. “Back to Sophie’s wedding! Quit talking about my never-coming one!” The women all agreed and went back to work. It took hours to throw around ideas for one wedding. There were so many changes and additions. Sophie could barely keep up with the words being told to her on her notes. She had to tell them to slow down many times. Her hands were really sore when she was finished. She must have had eight full pages worth of suggestions and ideas for her wedding. But, Sophie knew that it was all worth it in the end. The WAG breathed out and looked at all of her notes. She was really happy at what she had accomplished. “This will be my happiest time ever!” she thought in bliss! The only thing she worried about was Emma resurfacing and taking hold of her to ruin things. This was going to be a headache.
