Song of Solomon:

Simone’s Notes:

The bible may be strict on when sex is acceptable. But there is one book dedicated to the joy of love and sex. Song of Solomon tells the story about King Solomon and his love for his special woman. He compares her body to the most beautiful things during that time period. The woman in return sings praises about him to her friends and family. They sings about how their lovemaking is so sweet. That is the only book that looks at the beauty of love and sex.

St. Mary’s Touch was busy tonight. Hughes paced around the waiting room in a wreck. Earlier, Elisha accidentally took a couple of ecstasy pills thinking that they were candy. Now, she was out cold in the hospital. Her father feared the worst. She was his precious jewel. Meanwhile, Angelica dragged Ralph down the hall. “Ow! Hey, bitch! Let go!” he protested. “Why the hell are you dragging me here anyway?!?” Angelica stopped and let go of him. She violently turned her crush to him. “You are here to check on Elisha!!!” the wild woman barked. Ralph rolled his eyes annoyed. “Why?” he barked. That question only made his house mate even more pissed. “Because!” she snapped. “She got into your stash and ate it!!!” A pause came between them. Then, Ralph rolled his eyes again. “So?” he asked. “It’s not my fault that the little brat helped herself to my E! So why should I care?” Angelica wanted to slap him hard. “It is your fault!!!” she screamed. “Now, you have to check on Elisha!!!” “Why do you care so much?” Ralph groaned. Angie wanted to strangle him now! The pimp rolled his eyes. “Fine!” he sighed out. “I’ll go check on her!” Then, Ralph headed down the hall to Elisha’s room.

Nurse Philips came up to Hughes. The lieutenant colonel rushed up to her in a panic. “How is she?” he asked. Jessie smiled at him. “She’s going to be alright.” the nurse replied. “She was just drugged.” Maes raised an eyebrow at her. “What do you mean drugged? With what?” he asked. Nurse Phillips drew in a deep breath. “Ecstasy!” she announced. The color drained from the lieutenant colonel’s face fast. “WHAT?!?” he yelled. “B-But how is that possible?!?” Jessie stayed calm. “It is possible one of the guests brought ecstasy to the party, Elisha ha gotten hold of it, thought it was candy, and ate some.” she suggested. Hughes was lost for words. Nurse Phillips took in a deep breath. “Perhaps you could ask her where she got the drugs.” Jessie suggested. The lieutenant colonel nodded bitterly. “Yes!” he said quickly. “Yes I will!” Then, Hughes ran down to Elisha’s room in a rush.

His daughter was lying in bed asleep. Hughes stood in the doorway waiting. Elisha looked so sweet sleeping. He was glad that she survived. The girl almost scared him and Gracia to death. The lieutenant colonel wanted to get his hands on who was careless enough to drug an innocent child! Oh, there would be Hell to pay! Then, Hughes was brought back to Earth when he heard Elisha waking up. He rushed over to the little girl and knelt down beside of her. “D-Daddy…” the child spoke up. “Yes!” Maes said quickly. “It’s me, sweetheart!” Elisha slowly sat up. “That candy made me sick!” she whimpered out. “Yes, it did.” Hughes said as he softly stroked her small hand. “Elisha,” “Hm?” the little girl asked. The lieutenant colonel drew in a deep breath. “Sweetheart,” he said bravely. “This is really important to me. Who gave you the bad candy?” The little girl didn’t answer. She just pointed to the doorway. Maes turned to see Ralph staring at them in the doorway. He had a stoic face. Right then, Hughes saw him as the enemy.

Meanwhile, Jessie paced around the hall. She looked up and saw Don. Neither one of them dared to move. Then, the lieutenant walked closer to her. The nurse stood still in her place. He made it over to her. They didn’t speak at first. How could they? Everything that should’ve been said was already. Everyone knew their secret now. So, what could they do now? “They know.” Don said at last. “Yeah,” Jessie agreed. Silence came again. The lieutenant took in a deep breath. “So now what?” he asked. “I don’t know.” his baby’s mother replied. Both stood in silence again. Don swallowed hard. “I want you back!” he said at last. The nurse stood still in shocked silence. She wasn’t expecting this!

Nately sat outside looking sick. The one woman he had a crush on now knew how he felt about her. But that wasn’t his worst fear. What would she feel about him? “Damn you, Madeline!” the major thought. He wished he hadn’t said anything to her now. Now what was he going to do? Nately certainly couldn’t look his beloved angel in the eye now. “Major!” he heard something call out to him. The man quickly jerked up and saw the angel herself. Lady Kathleen was staring right at him. Nately felt himself go weak in the knees in a heartbeat. Her beauty captured his tongue tightly and wouldn’t let it go.

Everyone stayed at St. Mary’s Touch all night. Ralph managed to stay away from Hughes for the tonight being. He knew that he was in for it now!
