Security:

Simone’s Notes:

How can we really tell what the enemy looks like? Dressed in black? Razor sharp claws? Strong lecherous behavior? Or could the enemy look innocent and have a heart of gold at first? Who can really tell? But once the enemy is behind the fort, it’s too late to react.

Jakob, Mikey, and Hunter all hurried to the downtown book store. “Hey,” Mikey spoke up in between pants. “Why are we walking so fast for?” “Because, mama-Gin is expecting us at the bookstore today!” Hunter answered sternly. Exams were coming up at Maywillow High and the students had to buy their own study books. Ginny insisted on going on a Friday to the downtown bookstore. “The books are usually on sale in the afternoons on Friday!” she reminded. “Besides the school bookstore is too expensive.” But the boys had plotted other things to do with their Friday afternoon. This wasn’t one of them.

They met Ginny in the front of the store. She was standing was another girl with short brown hair. Her eyes were a mint chocolate color. The light of the world was in her sweet face. They were both wearing their uniforms. “Hi guys!” Ginny called aloud. The boys waved with a smile. Their friend turned to the other girl. “You guys remember my friend Kate, right?” she asked. The boys took a long look at the other girl. At first, the answer seemed to be no. But then, Hunter’s eyes lit up in delight. “Kate?” he asked in happy shock. “I haven’t seen you since camp last summer!” Kate smiled back at him. “Hunter!” she exclaimed. “It’s so good to see you!” Then, she rushed forward and hugged him tightly. The Irish boy hugged her back. “How have you been?” he asked. “Great!” Kate replied. “And you?” Jakob and Mikey watched in confusion. Then, the mouse quickly caught on to who Kate was. “Aren’t you the treasurer of the abstinence class?” he asked aloud. The girl turned to him while she hugged Hunter. “Yes I am!” she answered proudly. Jakob smiled greatly. “Now I know who you are!” he called. “You’re in our grade level too!” “That’s right!” Kate replied gracefully. “And you’re Jakob Riis and he’s Mikey Sherwood.” “Great to meet you!” Mikey greeted. Then, Kate let go of Hunter and walked over to the gay boy. She extended out her hand to him. The gay boy shook it kindly. “Okay!” Ginny cut in. “Let’s get started!” “Right!” the rest of the group said. Then, the group headed into the store.

Ai-Oni stepped into the dining hall smiling. She was ready to reveal her latest plan. “Gentlemen!” she announced aloud. Envy and Nyious looked up at her. The she-devil kept smiling at them. “I want to have a child!” Ai-Oni replied. The men stared at her like she was crazy. The devil woman noticed their faces. “Oh, don’t worry!” she called. “I’m not carrying the child; I’m getting a surrogate to do the job!” Envy and Nyious relaxed after that. “Who do you have in mind?” the homunculus asked. Ai-Oni grinned again. “I already have the perfect candidate!” she replied. Nyious raised an eyebrow at his younger sister. “Another virgin, right?” he asked. “Yep!” the she-devil answered. Envy looked at his host confused. “Why a virgin?” he asked. “Why not a slut?” Ai-Oni smiled at him. “Because,” she answered. “This child needs to be born from a pure vessel. That’s where her power shall come from.” “Oh!” both men said. “And I’ve sent out the seed to carrier as well!” the devil woman added. “You’ve plotted this out well dear sister, haven’t you?” her brother asked. Ai-Oni smiled as she headed over to the view. “You know me,” she replied. “I love to add the kinks to make the game interesting.” Then, the men joined in to watch the new plot to the game.

Jakob and his friends were shopping around for there study books when they ran into a strange man. Kate accidentally crashed into him and slipped all of her books on the ground from her bag. “Oh!” she called out. The man looked at all of the juniors. “Oh, terribly sorry, kids!” he replied to them. Jakob and his pals looked at him. The man looked like to be about to be in his late thirties. He had a five o’clock shadow, dark blonde hair, and deep hazel-green eyes. The man was dressed in a priest’s robes with military stripes on it. Jakob recognized what he was right away. “You’re a priest in the army, aren’t you?” he asked. “Yes I am!” the man answered as he began picking up all of Kate’s and his books up like a gentleman. “New transfer?” Ginny asked. “Yes.” the man answered. “From where?” Kate asked. “The north.” the priest replied. Then he got up off of the ground and slipped her books back into her bag. She didn’t notice that he had slipped in something a little “extra” in her schoolbag. The priest looked at all of the kids again. “Maywillow High, eh?” he asked. They all looked at him suspiciously. “How did you guess?” Mikey asked. The man smiled innocently at them. “The school colors gave it away, I guess.” he answered. That made the kids uneasy. Then, the priest laughed to make things light again. “Oh!” he said aloud. “I know what you’re thinking. Who the hell is this guy? Well, I am Colonel Jez Darwin.” Then he extended out his hand to the kids. Ginny took it bravely. “Hi,” she said uneasily. “I am Ginny Manson and these are my friends, Mikey Sherwood, Hunter Ryan, Kate Davis, and Jakob Riis.” Her friends waved at him harmlessly. Jez smiled at all of them. “Well,” he spoke up. “It was nice talking to you. Bye now.” Then, the priest walked away quickly. The Maywillow juniors began to relax again.

Jez made it outside of the book store. He disappeared around the corner into a dark alley. “Okay Ai-Oni!” he said aloud. “I gave Kate the Stone of Anael! Now tell me where Syd and Yasmine are!” “Fine,” the she-devil replied in his head. “Syd and Ella are staying in Shady Roze 217. Yasmine herself lives in a remote apartment chain on the outskirts of town. They aren’t home at the moment, but you can wait if you like.” The priest smiled to himself. “Thanks!” he replied. Then, Jez headed his own way. Above, Ai-Oni smiled to herself. “It’s only a matter of time since it hits!” she thought.

Hunter was back in the book store looking at the manga books when he saw Izzie again. She was looking at some of the latest magazines that were on sale. His heart raced in complete joy again. “Yay! Blonde nurse is here!” the Irish boy thought happily. It was right then, he saw his chance. The boy drew in a deep breath to himself. “Well,” he thought. “Here goes!” Then, Hunter gathered himself up and made his way over to the nurse. Izzie was another to look at another magazine on the stand when she felt someone tap her on the shoulder. The nurse slowly froze and turned around. Hunter stood in front of her smiling. Izzie was uneasy at first. “Uh… hi…” she said. “Hi!” the boy replied. “I am Hunter Ryan! What’s your name?” The nurse smiled at him sweetly. “A little pretentious, isn’t it?” he thought. But then, an idea came to her. “He’ll be a perfect young knight to chase after me!” she thought. “I’m Izzie Morrison.” the nurse said. Then, they shook on that. “You come here often?” the boy asked. “No,” Izzie replied. “I just discovered it today.” “Really?” Hunter asked. Then, they began talking normally like old friends. The boy began to gain a feeling of confidence. “I have her now!” he thought. “Now, all I to do is to woo Addi as well.” The nurse smiled back at the boy. “In seconds, he’ll be wrapped around my finger!” she thought. “And I’ll have three knights after me!

Speaking of lust, Jez had just found his. The priest was walking past a tea shop downtown when he saw her. A woman was standing outside waiting. Her hair was long and flowing red. Her skin was a creamy white. The woman was tall and slender. She was dressed like a rich woman in a pure red silk dress. A matching bow sat perfectly on top of her head. She looked right bored. The sun was her spotlight. Jez couldn’t take his eyes off of her. He made his way straight over to her. The woman slowly turned and looked up. The priest stopped in his tracks to stare at her even longer. His eye of affection stared at him deeply. Jez smiled at her tenderly. He knew just the right words to say to her. “She walks in beauty, like the night,” he said aloud to her as he walked closer to her. “Of cloudless climes and starry skies; And all that's best of dark and bright/ Meet in her aspect and her eyes: Thus mellow'd to that tender light/Which heaven to gaudy day denies. One shade the more, one ray the less, Had half impair'd the nameless grace/Which waves in every raven tress, Or softly lightens o'er her face; Where thoughts serenely sweet express/ How pure, how dear their dwelling-place. And on that cheek, and o'er that brow, So soft, so calm, yet eloquent, The smiles that win, the tints that glow, But tell of days in goodness spent, A mind at peace with all below, A heart whose love is innocent!” The woman looked at him impressed. “Lord Byron.” Jez answered. “Are you poetic?” the woman asked. “From time to time,” the priest answered. “I see.” she answered. Jez smiled at her again as he extended his hand out to her. “I’m Jez Darwin,” he went on. “New chaplain here.” “Monique Gates.” The woman replied. Then, they shook on that. Jez noticed her deep green eyes. “You’re eyes are like soft cut emeralds in a diamond necklace!” he pointed out. Monique blushed at that complement. “Why t-thank you!” she stammered out. Jez smiled at her again.

“Monique!” a voice yelled out to her. She and Jez both looked up. A man in uniform came out of the tea shop. His arms were filled with bags of tea and herbs. Jez studied the man closely. His hair was dark brown and short. He towered over Monique gracefully. His eyes were a cold deep chestnut brown. The man had a stoic face to him. He had board shoulders and a decent amount of muscle to him. The man came and stood next to Monique. The woman cuddled up to him sweetly. She turned to him smiling. “Jez,” she said. “This is my husband, Colonel Judd Gates.” “Hello,” Judd replied as he held out his hand. The chaplain extended out his own hand and shook it. He felt his heart sank. “She’s married!” he thought. Then, Judd let go of him. “Well,” he spoke up. “We better get going now. Come on, Momo!” Then, Judd and his wife began home. Jez watched after his prize heartbroken. But then, that same old cold feeling came back to him. “No,” he thought. “I’ll just steal Monique away for myself!” Then, he headed back to his original destination.

Syd, Ella, and Yas were walking home from the movies when they noticed that the door to Syd and Ella’s house was unlocked and open. The trio froze nervously. Something clearly wasn’t right here. “Syd,” Ella spoke up. “Yeah,” he spoke up. “Didn’t you lock the door before we left?” his bird asked. “Yeah!” Syd replied. “Then, who is here?” Ella asked. The trio ran straight to the house. Inside, everything looked undisturbed in the living room. “Looking for someone?” a voice asked aloud. The trio all turned to see Jez sitting on the couch was a cup of tea. “Long time, no see guys!” he called. Syd became hostile. “Jez, you wanker!” he yelled. “What the hell are you doing here?!? How the hell did you find us and get into our house?” The priest shrugged at them innocently. “Aw come now Sydney!” he called out. “Is that how you greet an old friend? The door was open so I let myself in.” The deity just growled at him and looked away. Jez then turned to Yasmine. She was staring at him worried. “Oh, Yas!” the priest said aloud. “Haven’t seen you since the trial!” The woman was trembling. Ella put her hand upon her shoulder. “Be strong, Yas!” she whispered. “Be strong!” The hunter slowly stepped forward. “If you’re here, then that must mean…” she said at last in fear and anger. Jez smiled at her coldly. “Afraid so, my dear!” he replied. Then, he rose to his feet gracefully and set his cup on the low oak coffee table. “I only came by to say hi,” Jez said. “Well, my time has drawn short, fair thee well!” Then, the priest walked out of the house. Syd was ready to tear him to pieces, but Ella stopped him. “Not yet,” she said. “It’s too early for bloodshed!” Her bloke froze in his place. Then, Ella turned to Yasmine. “Just breathe,” she said. “You are not that defenseless woman you were years ago! Take back your life! Rise up and bury your sword into his flesh as revenge for you and your son!” Her friend regained her confidence again. “You’re right!” she replied. “Things are different now! I have the power again!” “Yes!” Ella yelled. “Yeah whatever,” Syd cut in. “When do we smoke out that son-of-a-bitch that way I can have his head?” “Soon,” Ella answered. “Soon, sweetheart! We don’t want to draw too much attention to this case!” The trio then smiled to themselves proudly. All three of them now knew they had a lead. Now, it was time to smoke out Trent and kill him.

Meanwhile in the outskirts of the city, Jez walked over to an abandoned church. He pushed open the doors and walked inside. It was so dark inside. The icy cold was all around. Dust lied on the pews like blankets of snow. The statues looked like they had seen better days. The only light in the sanctuary was the night light through the stain-glass windows. The altar was lifeless and cold. Jez walked through the church like it was his own home. He headed straight to the altar. “Did you find her?” a dark and frozen voice asked him. “Yes my lord,” the priest answered. “I have found her and her little friends! They are all here, Trent!” “Excellent!” the master said to him. “We shall attack soon!” Trent grinned to himself coldly. “Yasmine, my love!” he thought to himself. “I have found again!” Then, Trent snickered to himself icily.
