Round Round:

Simone’s Notes:

Love triangles can either be relatively balanced, in which the two candidates each have a fair chance of ending up with the protagonist, or they can be lopsided, in which the hero or heroine has an obvious romantic interest in one of the candidates, and considers the other candidate as "just a friend," but withholds a confession to avoid hurting his or her feelings. A less permanent love triangle can also occur when a former lover of the main character makes an unexpected appearance to win back his or her heart, provoking feelings of jealousy from the main character's steady partner. However, this situation is usually not considered an actual love triangle since there is little possibility of the main character breaking up with his or her longtime partner to pursue a just-introduced character, and it is often used as only a test of the true depth of the main character's devotion to his or her partner.

Alphonse Elric was completely worn out. How can two girls that admired him so wear him out in one week? Don’t get him wrong. He loved them both equally. This was every fifteen-year-old boy’s fantasy to have two hot girls competing for his attention. But some days, Al just wanted a rest. He still hadn’t made up his mind who to go with. Both girls were still risky. Amy was classy and rebellious. She acted like a lady in public, but really let her hair down when out of school and her parents’ eyes. She was showing him new things everyday. Bev was loose and loud in a sexy way. She wasn’t afraid to try anything with her. The girl loved Alphonse fully. He had both of them in his bed before. (Once in a threesome together!) They were very great in that department. So why couldn’t he still choose?

Monday:

Amy was always coming with ways to keep Alphonse’s attention all to herself. This was simple of course. She would surprise him with sweeties and homemade food. They would have little picnics together at lunch on the roof of the apartment building. Amy was a great cook. She would cook when she made it home before her parents did. She was a firm believer in the phrase a way to man’s heart is his stomach. The girl sure had him in her sweet hands. Al loved her cooking as much as he loved her and Bev.

“So how is it?” Amy asked him as he was eating some lamb dumplings that she had made this morning. Alphonse turned to her smiling after he finished one of the dumplings.

“Great!” he called. Amy looked very happy.

“Good!” she replied cheerfully. “I so glad you like it!” Alphonse kept eating happily. They had a nice spread today. Amy made her sweet and sour lamb dumplings with a bittersweet honey soy sauce, fresh crispy vegetable spring rolls, hot and spicy fried rice, and fresh brewed green tea. Amy was always out doing herself at lunch time. The work was tough but it was rewarding when he enjoyed her cooking.

“Ready for dessert?” Amy asked him happily when he was finished. Her crush looked at her happily.

“Oh please!” he called out. “I couldn’t possibly have another bite!”

“But you must,” Amy insisted. “I worked really on this cake I made for you!” Al looked at her surprised.

“You made a cake for me?” he asked.

“Yep!” Amy called. Then, she drew out her little dessert. Alphonse looked in surprise. Amy had made her a soft fluffy angel cake topped with whipped cream and fresh strawberries.

“Wow!” was all the boy could say. Amy kept smiling at him.

“Well,” she called. “Are you just going to sit there and stare at it? Dig in!” Alphonse quickly got his attention back again and nodded.

“Right!” he called out. Then he picked up his fork and took a bite. Amy waited happily.

“Well,” she said after a few seconds. “You like it?” Al chewed and swallowed with a smile on his face.

“It tastes good!” he said happily. Amy could’ve jumped up in happiness.

“I’m so glad you like it!” she called out. Al kept smiling as they ate. That was how their lunches always went. Amy just kept on cooking for him. But, she knew food alone wasn’t enough to woo Alphonse away from Bev. This was only the first course in her seduction.

Tuesday:

Bev doesn’t give up easily. She uses all punches to get the man she wants. The girl loved to take Al places. Today, Bev was taking him out into the woods.

“Are you sure you know where we are going, Bevy?” Alphonse asked aloud. “This is a long way than as far as we usually go.” The girl kept smiling to herself.

“Oh you’ll see!” she called out. “You’ll see!” Alphonse went quiet after that. The couple came down to a creek. This was a nice place. The moss was soft and spongy below. The trees around them added to the beauty of the landscape. The wind was blowing peacefully. It was quiet all around. Only nature was present. The water below was clean and running smoothly. Bev stopped at the river.

“Well!” she called out. “Here we are!” Alphonse looked around for a while. He wasn’t expecting this at all. Bev usually took him to a club or bar. This… was completely different. The rocker girl kept smiling at him.

“I know what you are thinking,” she replied. This isn’t what you usually do. Well, I decided to shake things up a bit. Besides, I really like it here! This is where I go to escape my head for a while! So, you like?” Alphonse was too shocked to speak at first.

“Yes!” he called out at last. Bev grinned at him. Then she lied back on the soft moss below. Alphonse kept watching her with a smile on his face. His crush looked back at him.

“Come on, Al!” she said to him. “Join me!” The boy did so happily. Bev kept smiling at him lustfully. She couldn’t help herself any longer.

“You know why I also picked this place?” she asked in a naughty tone. Al looked at her innocently.

“No, what?” he answered softly.

“This.” Bev answered. Then she leaned in and lightly kissed him on the lips. Her crush kissed back. They ended up making for a long time on the soft moss below them. Bev always kept it simple. She just picked a location, took Alphonse there, and left it all to chance. This all worked perfectly in her favor. Simplicity was her best policy when it came to love.

Wednesday:

Alphonse just loved getting presents from his girls. What boy doesn’t? They all came in a different range. Some were small and pretty interesting like that black precision watch that Amy gave him this morning. He just couldn’t take his eyes off of it. Others were big and convenient such as that nice leather jacket that Bev gave him for his birthday. Even when he didn’t necessarily like their gifts at times, he accepted them whole-heartedly. But they made up for it with neat-looking gift cards in case they didn’t know what to get him.

“Lucky little bastard,” Matt told him this evening as he saw all of the gifts that Amy and Bev gave him all over his living room. The boy had run out space to put them in his room.

“Yeah, I know.” Al said as he looked at the watch Amy gave him. “I know.” Lucky little bastard indeed!

Thursday:

“I’ll help you with that!” Amy called to Alphonse as he was carrying some laundry back to his apartment. The boy let her do so.

“I’ll get that for you!” Bev chirped as she rushed to the door to open for him as he was carrying groceries inside. He nodded with a smile.

“Let me carry that inside for you!” Amy said as she took his mail inside for him.

“Okay…” he said as he stood there in silence.

“I’ll clean up for you!” Bev called after they had dinner together.

“There’s no need…” Al began to say.

“But I want to!” his crush insisted. Then she got right to work.

“You look tired, Alphonse,” Amy said to him sweetly. “Here come and rest for a while!” The boy didn’t argue back as his crush helped him upon her couch.

“You look hungry,” Bev said to him this morning. “I’ll go get you something to eat. Wait here!” Then, she headed down to the eating quarters to fetch him breakfast. Al just sat there in silence.

“You look awful,” Amy told him this evening. “Are you sick or something?” She felt along his cheeks and forehead in a sweet and loving way.

“No, I’m fine!” Alphonse protested.

“Oh no!” his crush insisted. “You go to bed and rest! I’ll take good care of you!” She hurried him straight to bed without another word. All the boy could do was go along and shrug to himself.

The phone rang in the morning.

“Hello?” Alphonse answered when he picked it up.

“Hey babe!” Bev replied on the phone.

“Bevy?” her crush asked. “What are you doing calling me so early?”

“Just wanted to call and say good morning! And to check on you!” the rocker girl answered.

“Aw, that’s so sweet!” Al said. “A little too early, but sweet!” They both hung up after a couple of minutes on the phone. Alphonse just lied there awake in bed. Between those two, he didn’t really have to do much but breathe and be there. It was tiresome, but nice at times.

Friday:

Alphonse was drowning in attention today. Both girls were hanging out with him. It was entertaining to watch them compete for his affection. They were both pretty good at their techniques. Choosing one over the other was next to impossible. Both were just that equal. So to make up for it, Alphonse made share that he gave them both the equal amount of affection or one would get jealous of the other.

Everyone witnessed Al kissed, hug, touch, and grope them both in popular as much as he could. They all wondered why. Amy and Bev didn’t care. Both girls were happy to be spoiled with such attention.

“I’m leaving now, girls!” Alphonse said this evening. “So please try not to kill each other by morning!”

“Okay!” they both agreed to him sweetly. Then, Alphonse kissed them both on the lips and went away. He ran into Winry and Sheska. They had watched him kiss both of his girls. They too didn’t understand how Alphonse could be dating two girls in a sense. As he approached them, Al noticed Winry’s and Sheska’s faces.

“What?” he asked innocently.

“I don’t get it,” Winry spoke up. “How can you kiss and date both girls at once? Aren’t you worried about both them being jealous of each other?” Al just smiled harmlessly.

“I have to kiss them both,” he answered. “Or else one will get jealous of the other one. I don’t know. It just works that way I guess.” Then, he handed back to his apartment. Winry and Sheska just watched him leave. They still didn’t get his logic. But what did the triangle cared? It worked for the time being.

Saturday:

Alphonse sat back cuddling with both of his girls. The days like these were pretty peaceful. Being with these girls gave him a sixth sense. He could tell what mood they were in. Amy acts double sweet when she is mad with him. Bev was sarcastic were she was angry. Al could tell when both girls were about to get into a fight with each other. Nine times out of ten he would be able to stop it. He could tell were they were bummed out. The boy would do his best to make them feel better again. Al could even tell when these girls wanted to be left alone. These girls had him trained so well.

“Both of you happy?” Alphonse asked them kindly.

“Mmmm!” Amy replied as she was cuddled against his chest. Bev just lightly kissed him on the cheek. Al just smiled at them both.

“I’ll take that as a yes!” he replied.

“You took that right!” Amy called to him. Her crush just smiled and petted her on the head gently. Yes! Days like these were just right. If only it was that simple.

Sunday:

Today was Al’s rest day from both of them. He needed one badly. The boy loved both girls. But, he really needed days like these. A guy needs a break from his women once in a while. No phone calls, no gifts, no fights, no competition, no girls. Just the whole day to himself. Alphonse could do as he pleased on his own.

But alas, it was only a day. For Alphonse would have to deal with the love storm of Amy and Bev. The boy sighed as he buried his face in his pillow. Despite all the attention that he was getting showered with he still hadn’t made up his mind to go with. One can guess this little shag keeps things from being too perfect for the boy. But yet, that love and attention would be increased in a few days!
