New Lady:

Simone’s Notes:

The concept of limerence first originated in Tennov's research in the mid-1960s. She interviewed over 500 people on the topic of love. Tennov coined the term "limerence" in 1977, publishing it in her 1979 book "Love and Limerence: The Experience of Being in Love". Tennov differentiates between limerence and other emotions by asserting that: Love involves concern for the other person's welfare and feeling. While limerence does not require it, concern can certainly be incorporated. Affection and fondness exist only as a disposition towards another person, irrespective of whether those feelings are reciprocated, whereas limerence demands return. Physical contact with the object is neither essential nor sufficient to an individual experiencing limerence, unlike one experiencing sexual attraction.  New Relationship Energy (NRE) thrives on open communication and known mutuality of feelings and is mostly seen as a positive bonding experience, while limerence can dissipate once reciprocity is established, and is characterized by uncertainty and anxiety. New Relationship Energy also carries implications of active contrast with relationships in different stages, while limerence does not. Limerence can be longer-lived than transient forms of romantic feelings such as infatuation and puppy love, enduring for months, years and even a lifetime in the absence of knowledge about reciprocity.

Al met yet another bunny to his collection. He met her the next morning after his date. Al had just walked three of his bunnies to school. They went past the gates already. That’s when he saw her. This bunny was a fine-looking piece right there. Long reddish-brown hair to her waist back into a ponytail, slender little body, healthy-looking curves, and long cute legs. She looked hot in her uniform. This girl seemed innocent on the inside. But yet, one could bet that she had some devilish malice hidden within her. In order to find out would be to go up and hang out with her for a while. Al couldn’t take her eyes off of her. Right then, he knew that he had to talk to her right away. He made his way over to her in hurry. The girl looked up and saw him. She smiled at the fine-looking young boy walking up towards her. She instantly was attracted to him. “Well,” she thought. “This is a nice surprise for a change.” The bunny decided to make herself known personally to the alchemist. Al was surprised when she met him halfway.

“Hello!” he said to her quickly. “I’m Alphonse Elric. What’s your name?” The girl smiled at him.

“Jessica,” she replied. “Jessica Baker. Nice to meet you.” They both shook hands. The alchemist kept his eyes locked dead on her. Her beauty was commanding his attention. Jessica looked Al up and down.

“Strange,” she spoke up. “Where’s your uniform?”

“Oh!” Al said quickly. “I don’t go to this school.” Jessica raised an eyebrow at him.

“Oh?” she asked. “Then, what are you doing here?” Alphonse smiled at her.

“I was walking my friends to their classes,” he explained. “They go to school here.”

“I see,” Jessica said.

“Yeah,” said Al. They stood silent for one moment. Alphonse couldn’t help but to stare into her beautiful deep red eyes. She had him under her spell in seconds. That was how she charmed them all. One look into her eyes and the boys were madly in love with her. That was just how it always ever since Jessica was thirteen. Alphonse was no exception to the rule.

“Hey,” Al said quickly. “Can I see you again soon?” Jessica smiled at him politely.

“That would depend,” she replied. Al looked at her confused.

“On what?” he asked. Jessica kept her eyes locked on him as she looked him square in the eye. The young alchemist couldn’t help but to notice that she had a commanding power over her. One that could rival Amy’s just perfectly. Jessica could get anything she wanted almost instantly. This girl could give his first bunny a run for his money. But knowing Amy, she won’t back down without a fight. Neither would Bev or Molly. Carrie wouldn’t either if she grew a backbone. Al knew that he should stop collecting rabbits. But it was just that hard. They all just kept coming to him one by one. And who was he to turn them away? Then, Jessica stepped forward and lightly kissed Al on the lips. The boy lost all thoughts after that. It was official. Alphonse Elric just had to have Jessica Baker as his own girl. The other bunnies would just have to make room for the new lady. Jessica lightly pulled away from him and smiled. Then, she leaned in close to his ear.

“Depends on how good you are to me!” Jessica replied. Then, she lightly kissed him on the ear. Al felt himself getting red all over. It was game, set, and match there. Jessica backed away smiling at her work. She knew that she had won.

“Well,” Jessica said at last. “I’ll see you around. I have class now. Bye-bye.”

“Bye,” Al said to her with a little wave. Jessica waved back and headed inside of the school to begin another day of classes. Alphonse just stood there staring at her as she walked away. The new bunny had won him over in seconds. Oh buddy! Amy, Bev, Carrie, and Molly would have a battle on their hands now. And for some strange reason, he kind of liked it. The boy had gotten used to having the bunnies fighting over him. The attention was strangely good for him. He just hoped it wouldn’t get out of hand in the end. Al was too aware of how those girl fights could go. “Be very careful, Jessica!” he thought as he slowly came back to Earth. “You don’t know what you’re up against.” Then, Alphonse headed back to the apartments until later this afternoon to pick up his bunnies.
