Midnight Skies:

Simone’s Notes:

In many religious traditions, Hell is a place of suffering and punishment in the afterlife, often in the underworld. Religions with a linear divine history often depict Hell as endless. Religions with a cyclic history often depict Hell as an intermediary period between incarnations. Punishment in Hell typically corresponds to sins committed during life. Sometimes these distinctions are specific, with damned souls suffering for each sin committed, and sometimes they are general, with sinners being relegated to one or more chamber of Hell or level of suffering. In Christianity, however, faith and repentance play a larger role than actions in determining a soul's afterlife destiny. In Christianity and Islam, Hell is traditionally depicted as fiery and painful, inflicting guilt and suffering. Some other traditions, however, portray Hell as cold and gloomy. Despite the common depictions of Hell as a fire, Dante's Inferno portrays the innermost circle of Hell as a frozen lake of blood and guilt. Hell is often portrayed as populated with demons, who torment the damned. Many are ruled by a death god, such as Nergal or the Christian or Islamic Devil. In contrast to Hell, other types of afterlives are abodes of the dead and paradises. Abodes of the dead are neutral places for all the dead  rather than prisons of punishment for sinners. A paradise is a happy afterlife for some or all of the dead. Modern understandings of Hell often depict it abstractly, as a state of loss rather than as fiery torture literally underground.

The angels of Heaven sang out once again:

Woo to Ametris!
The flood gates have been ripped open!
The wine of sinners will now flow through the city!
Fullmetal’s blade has pierced the heart of
Lolly Jenkins.
Her blood cries out to us in the Heavens above.
Nobody notices her dead now.
But they will.
They will all notice everything.
By then, it will be too late.
It will be too late.
Lolly’s blood has leaked through the lock,
Forcing the gates violently open.
The wine of the sinners has flowed in
The Underground.

Woo to Ametris!
They don’t know how bad things will get.
Thousands will go to the slaughter.
Their blood cries out for all the world to hear.
Hell is going to be brought above ground.
Sinners are all laughing now.
The souls above cannot hear them now.
Their own desires that kill them have
Blinded them to what’s about to come.
The wine of the sinners will pour into their throats
And drown them.
They will not know this however.
For the wine of sinners tastes so sweet.
The more these souls drink,
The more they will drown.
They do not see this.
Nothing can be done until they can see the problem.
Until then,
They will drown in this rising Hell they cannot see.

As the thick midnight clouds roll over Ametris in the sky,
The Fallen Ones anticipate for their world to open up
And swallow mankind whole.
Everyone!
Wake up and see the Hell rising before it too late!
Wake up, everyone!
Wake up!
Wake up!

The flood gates underground blew open with a wild rush once the blood drops floated into the big, rusty lock that held them shut together.
