XXV: Diana and Venus

Lucy:

Simone’s Notes:

A lesbian is a woman who is romantically or sexually attracted to other women. This usage of the term entered the English lexicon as early as 1870, though it went through further development for at least the next fifty years. The word lesbian in English was originally an adjective referring to the Greek island of Lesbos. From antiquity Lesbos was associated with female homosexuality because of the homoerotic verse of native poetess Sappho. The ancient Greek rhetorician Lucian used "Lesbian" as an adjective to refer to female homosexuality, but the most common term used by ancient writers was Tribade, which could mean either a masculine woman, or a woman who has sex with another woman. This term continued to be the most common word used in medical literature in up to the 18th century in Europe. The word meant "rubber", on the assumption that female homosexual practices involved sexual stimulation by rubbing together both the genitalia of two women, and referred to sexual practices rather than the modern concept of orientations.

On November 1st, Lucy Haley came back to Central. She was looking just as seductive as ever. Her hair was short a cinnamon brown to her graceful shoulders. Caramel eyes drawing in the light. Her dress was short tight and black. Her black pumps echoed loudly as she walked. Lucy was on a mission today. She was headed straight for St. Mary’s Touch Hospital. The woman walked right glass doors. All of the doctors and nurses looked up and saw her.

“She’s baaaaaaack!” one of the nurses whispered to another one. Everyone knew Lucy too well. The last time she was here, all Hell broke loose and everyone almost didn’t survive the damages. They were worried about this hospital turning in “Lucy 2: The Revenge.” The woman made it all the way to Dr. James’ office. She knocked heavily on the door.

“Enter!” the doctor yelled. Lucy opened the door. Dr. James looked up and saw the former receptionist. His eyes grew big in shock. She was the *last* person he expected to see come into his office at all. Lucy walked right into the office. The doctor looked pretty nervous.

“Lucy!” he called out. “Such a surprise to see you… ever again…” The former receptionist saw down in front of his desk with a serious look on her face.

“Let’s cut to the chase, Bob!” she called. I want my job back here!” Dr. James trembled at those words. The last thing he wanted was more trouble. He was scared to death of Lucy. Her name was short for Lucifer for him. He couldn’t afford to have around round of this.

“No!” he blurted out.

“Oh?” Lucy asked. “And why not?” The doctor stared deep into her deep brown eyes. He couldn’t think of anything at first.

“It’s filled!” he yelled. Lucy raised her eyebrow.

“By whom?” she asked.

“Uh…” the doctor said. Lucy smiled at him wickedly.

“You see,” she said. “The thing is, your usual girl is on maternity leave and you need a fill-in. So I thought why not until I found another job here. So what do you say?” Dr. James sat in worry.

“No!” he blurted out. Lucy kept her smile.

“Fine,” she said. “I’m sure the board would be interested in your lewd conduct to the nurses, female doctors, patients!” Dr. James was really freaking out now. He still wasn’t in the clear after the last time Lucy worked here. She knew too much. That woman knew so much that it was fatal. He had no choice but to surrender to her demands.

“Okay!” he called. “You have the job!” Lucy smiled at him wickedly.

“Thank you, Bob,” she said. “I knew you could talk sense.” Then she headed out of the office. Dr. James breathed out uneasily. Oh boy! This was going to be another round of Hell for them all!

At ten a.m., the eight nurses came into the hospital to start their shift. They were all talking and enjoying themselves as usual. But then, Suri looked up and saw her. Lucy was standing at the reception desk smiling at them. The nurse just froze up in silence. Her voice was lodged deep into her throat. She couldn’t focus at all. Anjia noticed her face.

“Suri,” she said. “What’s wrong?” The younger nurse didn’t answer at all. She just pointed straight forward. Anjia and the other girls all looked up. Lucy was smiling and waving at them.

“Good morning, girls!” she called. The other nurses were filled with despise. The one woman they hated had come back. Lucy looked over and saw Suri.

“Suri!” she called cheerfully. “Long time, no see!” The nurse still couldn’t talk. No words were coming out of her mouth at all. It was as if she had forgotten the whole English language. Her thoughts were racing out of control as well. Lucy smiled at her wickedly.

“I can still take your words away, I see?” she asked with a giggle. “Happy to know I haven’t lost my touch!” Jaks looked like she wanted to kill her. Suri slowly put up her hand to wave like a puppet on a string.

“Hi…” she finally squeaked out blushing. Lucy winked at her like she did in the old days. Suri felt herself get weak in the knees. That did it for her friends. Jaks and Izzie grabbed her as fast as they could and dragged her away. Lucy watched in silence. The other five nurses followed after the rescue party. The receptionist smiled to herself like an evil witch. This was going to be an interesting day at work.

Jaks and Izzie took Suri around the corner for safety. By then, the nurse came back to her senses.

“Why did you guys pull me away?” she asked. Jaks turned her face to her.

“She’s back!” the head nurse called. Suri looked at her innocently.

“So?” she asked. “What’s so bad about that?” Izzie grabbed her and turned her to face her.

“She is bad for you!” the older nurse barked quickly. “You will fall for her and she will break your heart again by playing around on you!”

“But…” Suri began.

“No buts!” Jaks cut in. “Stay away from Lucy! It’s for your own good!” Suri pouted in silence at first. The other two waited in silence.

“Well,” Izzie said. “We want to hear you say it! You won’t go near Lucy ever again!” Suri looked at them blankly for a moment. She blinked once. Then, the nurse sighed in misery and defeat.

“Fine!” Suri sighed. “I’ll stay away Lucy!” Her friends looked at her closely at that statement.

“What?!?” she asked with wide eyes. “Don’t you believe me?” Their faces didn’t look so convinced of her answer. Suri sighed again.

“Okay, okay,” she said. “I will stay away from Lucy and ignore her! Happy now?” They didn’t say a word. “Sheesh!” Suri thought. “They’re killing me here!” She shrugged in defeat. Then the nurse walked away. Izzie and Jaks looked at each other in silence.

“We need to watch her,” Izzie said.

“Hell yes!” Jaks agreed. Then, they went behind her. This was going to be another tough battle to fight. But this time, the girls knew what to do.

The rest of the day was uneasy. Where ever Lucy went, everyone stepped aside in fear. She was smirking to herself in a semi-cruel way. The receptionist had forgotten how fun it was working at St. Mary’s Touch. It was almost just as fun as f*****g a hot girl. Speaking of hot girls, Lucy was in the mood for Suri again. It had been so long since they rode together in erotic fast lane. But to how to get past the guard dogs called her friends? Lucy pondered that as she walked. She went over Suri’s work routine in her head. The receptionist put every single piece together in order. Then, an idea came into her head. Suri always hung out on the roof after her lunch. Lucy decided to surprise her there. “This’ll be so easy!” she thought. Then, the receptionist headed up to the roof.

Suri sat on the roof of the hospital lost in thought. She was caught in the middle of a tight battle. Lucy, the love of her life, had returned. She wanted to get back with her again just like the old days. But there were two problems with this: She’s with Kain Fuery now and her friends wouldn’t allow another Lucy + Suri union. The poor nurse wanted both Lucy and Kain together. But she had to choose one and stay with them. “Oh why do I have so many problems?!?” the nurse thought in stress.

But then, her thoughts were interrupted when she heard a door slamming shut. Suri looked up and saw Lucy standing at the doorway looking at her. The nurse quickly became nervous. She still didn’t know how to say no to the receptionist. Her former girlfriend smiled at her wickedly.

“Well,” she said. “I knew that I would find you here!” The nurse lost the ability to talk again. Lucy began walking closer. The moment became even tenser. Suri quickly held out her hand.

“Stop right there!” she called. Lucy stopped in her tracks and looked at her in silence.

“And why should I?” the receptionist challenged her. The nurse couldn’t talk at all again at the moment. Three whole years and Lucy still had the same effect on her like she did when they first were together. Lucy started walking again.

“Because,” Suri said quickly. “We’re not supposed to be together because of what happened last time!” Lucy paused and looked at her.

“Is that really it?” she asked. “Or they don’t want us together?” Suri swallowed hard. Her ex was making this harder and harder by the second. Defeat was fast-approaching. The nurse just couldn’t win here!

“Both!” she blurted out at last. Lucy raised an eyebrow at her.

“Oh really?” she asked.

“Yeah!” Suri replied. But by the time she said that, Lucy was *right* in front of her. Suri was stuck in silence now. She was trapped. Lucy smiled at her wickedly.

“It doesn’t have to be this painfully,” she whispered to her. Suri looked at her confused.

“It doesn’t?” she asked. Lucy shook her head at her lightly.

“You can live your life and see me on the side, okay?” she asked. Suri didn’t know what to say at first. This all sounded too good to be true.

“Uh…” the nurse said at last.

“Just say yes,” Lucy replied. Then, she kissed her ex on the lips. Suri didn’t fight back and quickly succumb to her desires. Alone, it was just a losing battle. Suri still wasn’t over Lucy. She knew it, her friends knew it, Lucy knew it, and everyone knew it. Thus another round of the soap opera known as Lucy + Suri. Come on in, good old friend drama. Oh how we missed you so!
