Love Medicine:

Simone’s Notes:

Medical fetishism is a neologism used to describe the context in which medical environments, practices and objects are eroticized. Typical scenarios of interest include intimate examinations such as rectal examination, gynecological examination, rectal temperature taking, catheterization, enemas, injections, the insertion of suppositories, menstrual cups and prostatic massage. Dentistry and teeth are also subject to fetishes while a person is sexually aroused or stimulated by the sight, brushing, or feel of dental braces, retainers and headgear. Other medical devices are also fetishized, such as orthopedic casts and orthopedic braces in abasiophilia. Another form of medical fetishism is surgical fetishism, which eroticizes the idea of either performing surgery or having surgery performed on one's self. Even more specific is anesthesia fetishism which involves the procedures and devices used to administer general anesthesia, especially the mask used to administer gaseous anesthesia to a patient. These can be related to hypnofetishism or balloon fetishism.

Alex was lying up in a hospital bed. Edward had given Dr. Pierce the go-ahead with “treating” him. The pet was really in a panic this morning. The good doctor came by Manami’s apartment that Edward was staying in and picked up the boy. Alex didn’t argue at all. What good would that have done? The pet didn’t want anymore suffering from these monsters than he already had. He didn’t even want to know or think about what the good doctor was capable of. So, the lamb went quietly. Dr. Pierce led the pet down the hall. Alex stayed close in silence. He was accustomed to the screams of other pets like him. The boy still got sick by the sounds of torture inflicted on them. Alex closed his eyes and kept walking. The pain subsided some. But it wasn’t going to be enough for the next few weeks that were coming up.

He and the good doctor finally made it back to his apartment. The whole place was set up like a hospital. The living room was the waiting room. Alex looked around nervously. When exactly was this place built? He was so busy looking around that he didn’t notice that Dr. Pierce had stopped dead in his tracks. Alex bumped right into him. The good doctor whipped around and slapped the pet in the face violently. The boy fell backwards on the floor. Dr. Pierce smirked at him evilly.

“Pay attention next time, you stupid little incest!” he snapped at him. Alex nodded as he knelt down before the good doctor as if he was begging for forgiveness. He didn’t bother to argue that he stop in front of him on purpose. He would just get slapped around again. The doctor smiled at him wickedly. This experiment was going to be entertaining after all.

“Much better!” he said. “Now come on!” Then, Dr. Pierce began walking back to the bedroom. Alex looked up slightly confused.

“Come on, damnit!” the good doc yelled out. “I haven’t got all day!” Alex rushed to his feet and hurried after the doctor. The bedroom of choice looked like a hospital room. This was the biggest room in the whole apartment. Dr. Pierce had his medical tools here. Alex looked on nervously at the many needles. Death began to flash in his mind. He didn’t like where this was going. The good doctor turned to him. He had a hospital gown and tags in his hands for the little pet.

“Strip off your clothes and get dressed in these, if you will.” the good doctor told him. Alex looked at him with big eyes. A “you’ve got to be kidding me” look was on his face. This was turning out to be worse than Edward’s “love” to him. The doctor kept smirking at his “patient.”

“Don’t look at me,” he ordered. “Just do it!” Alex was frozen for a moment. Then, he nodded nervously out of fear and slowly slid his shirt. The good doctor was watching him hungrily. The pet could feel his back turning red. He felt as if he was on display. This was really worse than the auction. Still, he had to do in order not to experience far worse that what was happening now. Once he was stripped down, the good doctor handed him the gown. Alex got dressed trembling. This was just creepy beyond words. He still kept hoping that this was all a nightmare and that he would wake up soon. Once he was dressed, Dr. Pierce put the tags on him and put him in the hospital bed. Alex looked up at him nervously. The sick monster smiled at him wickedly.

“I’ll send my nurse back in a few minutes!” he said in an eerie voice. Then he walked away laughing. Alex shuttered in an icy fear as the door slammed shut behind the good doctor. The “patient” began to feel so cold now. He now knew this wasn’t an awful nightmare. He lied back and feared the worst.

*Alex*

Hours passed by slowly. I just stared at the ceiling worried. What had Edward put me through now? I wanted to go home back to Allen. Surely he must have noticed that something was wrong by now. Surely he must have! Then, the door opened wide. I looked up in hope to see if I was going to be rescued. But instead, it was one of them in a nurse’s uniform. I really was afraid now. Please stay away from me! Please stay away from me! She came up to my bed with a chart in her lovely hands. The nurse looked at the chart and read to herself quietly at first. She didn’t even bother to look at me until afterwards.

“Alex Shepherd,” she announced aloud. “I am Victoria and I’ll be your nurse for your stay.” I eyed her in fear. She couldn’t be serious. Was she going to torment me instead of Dr. Pierce? I tried my best to keep quiet. The worst was coming, I just knew it.

“It says here you are here for some therapy treatment,” she went on. “Your stats are perfectly normal and you eat pretty healthy for a fifteen. You aren’t allow any visitors and you are prescribed one dose of Sweet Jane each day.” I kept watching her. What was she talking about? What kind of therapy treatment was she talking about? I was perfectly healthy like she said. And what about no visitors? What was Sweet Jane? Victoria snapped her chart shut. She was smiling at me in a rich and sick way.

“So,” the nurse spoke up. “Any questions, darlin’?” I opened my mouth to speak, but she cut me off.

“Great!” Victoria chirped. “I’ll give you your shot at lunch time!” Then she headed out the door. The door slamming made me shutter again. I sat there all alone again. The hope of me leaving had grown dim again.

*Outside*

Gemma was sitting on the floor with her hand stretched out over a fresh transmutation circle. Syd, Ella, and Yasmine turned to her for help. They had to find the “lamb” as the painting where he was being auctioned called him before the incubi and succubi killed him for power. The girl was focusing hard on locating him. The painting was the only thing she had to go by. Syd, Ella, and Yasmine stood around her waiting.

“You sure they will work?” Yasmine whispered to her boss.

“Sure it will!” he replied. “Gemma is the best at locating anything or anyone. Trust me on this one!” Yas went quiet. She dared didn’t challenged him in a time of crisis. After a few seconds, Gemma looked up with great news. The other three deities waited for her answer.

“The lamb is in apartment 328!” Gemma said aloud. Syd leaned into her.

“Anything about him?” he asked her.

“His name is Alex Shepherd,” she replied. “He’s fifteen with a high aura.”

“How are the conditions?” the boss asked.

“Pretty grim,” the girl answered. “He’s highly guard, but his aura is still high because of the good condition that he’s in so far.” The other three breathed easily.

“That’s good!” Yasmine said.

“Can you get us in contact with him?” Ella asked. Gemma smiled at her like a fat fox.

“You didn’t have to ask!” she said aloud. Then she held out her hand again and slipped back into the trance. Ella moved around behind her and clutched onto the girl’s shoulder to be on the first end. Gemma hooked up the line between Ella’s and Alex’s minds. Within seconds, the phone line was established.

I was worrying about what was to become of me here in bed when I first heard my true saviors.

“Alex…” a voice said to me. I looked around quickly. Nobody was in the room. I was slowly freaking out. Was I really losing my mind now because of them? Or am I dreaming?

“Y-Yes?” I asked uneasily.

“Alex…” the voice said again.

“Yes!” I said quickly trying to keep quiet. “It’s me! I’m here! I’m here!”

“Alex,” the voice addressed me. “This is Ella. Do not worry; my friends and I are here to save you.” I didn’t know what to think at that statement. I wanted to believe her, but part of me didn’t trust anybody anymore. This could be another trick with those monsters to give them an excuse to beat me later.

“No Alex,” Ella went on. “This is not a trick. We really want to save you here. Just name what you want and we’ll help you out.” I then began to relax some. My lips tightened up in new awaking hope.

“I don’t care anymore!” I pleaded out desperately. “Just get me out of here! I want to go home!”

“Don’t worry!” Ella said to me in a truly kind voice. For once, I was happily relived. But then, the door opened and I looked up quickly. Victoria was staring at her smirking at me with a large shot needle filled with a sticky-looking red fluid in her hands. My heart began to race in fear. The “nurse” began walking towards me. I felt another panic attack starting up. She grabbed me by the shoulder and leaned.

“Little Alex isn’t allowed any visitors!” she hissed to Ella. Then she pressed her hand against my forehead really hard. I thought that I would scream out in pain at what she was doing to me.

*Outside*

Gemma’s hand received a violent shock from Victoria. She screamed out in pain really loud. Ella would’ve been shocked along with her if she hadn’t let go just in time. Yasmine tried to rush over and help the girl, but Syd held her back.

“Don’t!” he yelled to her. “You’ll only get shocked too!”

“What should we do?” the hunter asked him desperately.

“Just wait it out!” her boss replied. Yas nodded uneasily. Within seconds, the shock storm died down. Gemma was panting really hard. She turned and looked up at the other deities.

“We have to save him!” she cried out. “They’re going to try and kill Alex! I just know it! We have to save him now!” Syd stepped forward nodding.

“We will!” he replied. Then he turned to the girls.

“Ella, Yas,” he ordered. “Scout the third floor. See for any exits, security, the enemy, and the apartment that Alex is in! Go invisibly! We can’t afford any screw-ups this time!”

“Right!” the girls said quickly. Then they headed out as fast as they could.

*Alex*

Victoria slowly removed her head from my forehead. I looked at her trembling in silence. She looked at me with a false sweetness in her eyes.

“There!” she chirped in a false perky voice. “With that out of the way, it’s time for your shot!” My eyes widened in great fear. Sure, I saw her with the big needle, but I wasn’t expecting the medicine to be taken by injection. The “nurse” then took my arm, swapped it with rubbing alcohol, took the needle, and injected it into my arm. I winced in pain. Watching the sticky-looking red fluid disappear into my arm wasn’t helping me either. Victoria was smiling at me the entire time. When she drew the needle out, I breathed uneasily. Suddenly, I felt a little cold and trembling. I wanted to ask what she did to me, but the words were glued to my tongue. The “nurse” smiled at me cruelly.

“Want to know why you feel so cold?” she asked in the fake sweetness again. I nodded once slowly. She kept smiling at me evilly.

“That’s your immune system preparing to fight back against the Sweet Jane!” she answered me coldly. Then, Victoria turned to leave. However, before she headed out the door, she turned back to look at me again. “But don’t worry, you’ll get used to it,” she said to me before leaving. “Then, you’ll like it. Then you’ll love it. After that, you’ll want it. And after that, you’ll need it!” The door slamming shut made me tremble even more.

*Outside*

By evening, Ella and Yasmine were ready to make their reports. Syd and Gemma waited for them in the living room. The boss headed up to the girls.

“Well?” he demanded. His birds just smiled at him kindly.

“The back stairs are only free at night,” Ella replied.

“Security is high in the day time,” Yasmine went on. “Night is the best time to move. The activities are high and noisy by then. Nobody will notice a thing.” Syd pondered all of this for a moment.

“Perfect!” he said aloud. “All we need now is a method of smuggling him out and we are set!”

“The laundry rounds!” Gemma perked up. The other deities turned to her at the sound of her girlish voice. The young-looking deity sat up straighter.

“Every Sunday,” she explained. “Someone comes by to collect the laundry on each floor around midnight for washing before the day is over.” Right then, Yasmine had an idea at that piece of information.

“One of us we’ll disguise ourselves as one of the laundry people, collect Alex in the laundry cart, and wheel him out.” The others enjoyed that idea perfectly.

“Only one problem,” Syd pointed out. The girls turned to him.

“Today is Monday!” he barked.

“Plus, we haven’t got our powers back yet because of the virus going strong in our bodies!” Gemma pointed out. “We’ll be dead if we try to fight back while getting caught trying to rescue the lamb.”

“So what do we do?” Ella asked.

“Wait it out,” Yasmine replied. The others looked at her oddly. Syd didn’t like the sound of that.

“Are you f*****g crazy?!?” he asked aloud. “Alex will die if wait!”

“And he’ll die if we rush in this Sunday!” Yas snapped. “If you have forgotten, White Rabbit has weakened us with the virus at the moment. It usually takes about two to three weeks for it to lessen in our bodies for our powers to come back! So we can’t do anything for Alex right away!” Syd went silent at that logic. Ella and Gemma were completely amazed. No one had stood up to Syd in an argument and won before. This was truly… amazing! The male deity stuck up his hands in the air.

“Fine!” he sighed out annoyed. “We’ll wait!” Then he sat back on the black dusty loveseat. The girls all stared at him in complete shock. The boss glared at him coldly.

“WHAT?!?” he snapped at them. Then, the girls all scattered away quickly. The male deity sat back and sighed to himself. Was this virus making him lose his touch with them?

*Alex*

I have lost track of time lying in this hospital bed. I know I’ve been here for a long time now. Something has happened to me now. I haven’t eaten or drank anything in like weeks. But I haven’t felt hungry or thirsty at all since I was in the hospital. Dr. Pierce had denied me any food.

“Anything in the stomach will make you sick with the treatment in your veins.” Victoria explained to me on the second day of the shot. I just took it quietly. What could I do? My treatment has jumped up to seven times a day. The pain in arm from the shot has been long gone now. I don’t really anything at all. In fact when Victoria gives the shots, I begin to feel dizzy and light-headed. Then it all goes black in seconds. I’m not aware of if and when I sleep anymore. I’m just in a constant state of daze. I don’t even think I am aware of the things that are going on around me in the room except for when it’s time for my shots. I have many hallucinations in my bed. Sometimes I think I hear my mother talking to me at night. My breathing and heart rate have slowed down some as well. I get this feeling that one day I’ll just die softly in my sleep. But, it doesn’t really bother me at all. Strange thing about that moment is that I actually… enjoy it! Sweet Jane seems to send me to a place of no pain and misery and I’m actually… happy.

“Over time,” Victoria told me on the third day of giving me the shot. “You’ll like you’ve had one time many tequilas. If you start to feel dizzy, then just close your eyes and relax.” I know the “nurse” is talking to me when she gives me the shots, but her voice is so faint and distant that I can barely understand what she is saying. I just nod in a complete daze. I just don’t care about anything anymore. I just look forward to that Sweet Jane to come and take my pain anyway. But soon, reality began to sink in.

It started my second week of treatment. Ella contacted me again.

“Alex!” she called out to me through my mind. I couldn’t tell if I was imagining her talking to me or if she really was talking to me.

“Yeah!” I called out in a lightly-drunk voice.

“Are you okay?” she questioned me in concern.

“Yeah!” I called out happily. Her voice sounded unconvinced now.

“Hang in there Alex,” she told me. “We’ll save you!”

“No!” I called out quickly. That took her by surprise.

“What do you mean, Alex?” she asked me stunned.

“Maybe I should stay here,” I suggested to her kindly.

“Why?!?” Ella asked in surprise.

“I don’t know,” I replied in slightly happy delirium. “I just think I do!” She said some more things, but I was completely zoned out by then. The Sweet Jane was really starting to take over my mind.

Another time Ella tried to contact me; I was really out of it by then. I could barely hear or understand what she was saying. I didn’t even know what I was saying. It was all mixed up beyond a rational thought. The only thing I know I said was, “Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a date with Sweet Jane.” Or at least that’s what I thought I said. Victoria walked in cheerfully with that needle of Sweet Jane in her hands. I smiled in a drunken way as I held my arm to her. The “nurse” smiled at me crossly and began hitting my arm to inject me yet again. I just stared at in a daze. She was talking to me again, but I couldn’t hear what she was saying. I think I was babbling something out loud, but I wasn’t aware of what I was doing. I didn’t even feel the needle going into my arm again. The room suddenly began to spin with bright festive colors. Then, I was out like a light!

*Outside*

Ella turned back to the group looking pretty pale. The other deities shared her worry.

“How bad is it?” Syd asked.

“We have to get him now!” she replied. “His aura is starting to faded.” That was really a red flag to all of them. If one’s aura went out, they would die. Alex didn’t have much longer until his aura went out like a candle in a high wind.

“Right the others agreed!” the others agreed. Then, the plan fell into action. Syd put the usual laundry man out it drugged-up like daze. Then he took his uniform and got dressed in it in a complete rush. With the dusty dark blue shirt, matching pants, and black cap, the deity really looked the part for the night. He grabbed the biggest cart and headed to the door.

“Okay,” Syd said to the birds. “I’m set. Lead the way.”

“Good!” Ella said. “Now do the rounds to keep from looking suspicious.”

“Right!” he called. Then, he went right out the door. The plan went as planned. Syd successfully made it to all three floors without getting caught. He kept his eyes open for any sudden activities on the third floor. So far, there was nothing. This was even beginning to look too easy for Syd himself. “This is boring!” he thought to himself as he picked up the clothes and pushed the cart. “When are things actually going to get interesting here?” At last, he came to apartment 328. The deity smiled to himself in pride. “Bingo!” he thought. Then, Syd combined alchemy with his powers to get the door open. He processed in quietly.

So far, everything looked standard. But Syd kept his eyes open for any attackers waiting for him. It was all clear at the moment. Syd made it back to the main bedroom. He found Alex almost out cold hooked up to an IV machine. The deity rushed to him quickly and checked for a pulse on him. Syd breathed easily when he found one barely beating. He knew that he had to move quickly. So he wrapped Alex up in the blankets and began moving him into the laundry cart. The lamb looked up at him in complete daze. Syd looked down at him smiling kindly.

“Shhh!” he whispered to the “patient.” “Don’t worry; I’m here to save you now. You’re safe now.”

“Little Alex isn’t allowed any visitors!” a voice hissed at Sydney. The deity looked up to see Victoria looking right at him. She was smirking at him with empty needles in her hands. Syd lightly laid Alex down into the cart and turned his attention to the succubus nurse.

“Well, well, well,” he said aloud. “A challenge at last! I was getting worried that this would be a boring night.” Victoria prepared to attack him. Syd stood up straighter.

“Unfortunately for you,” he said. “I don’t have the time or the full energy. So I’ll make this quick. Bring it on bitch!” The succubus nurse sailed towards him. Syd just smirked to himself. When she was close enough, he neatly and firmly placed his right hand upon her chest and pressed down hard. A heavy light shot into her body and knocked her straight to the ground. Syd looked down at her smirking coldly.

“That ought to keep you down long enough for me to split!” he said in cutting way. Then, Syd grabbed the cart and pushed it out of the room. He escaped with Alex to the back stairway as planned and headed downstairs back to his apartment. Part one of Operation Lamb was a success. Now it was time to clean him up and save him before those monsters could feed off of his death. The battle was just beginning.
