“Busy day today?”

“Yep.”

“I see.”

“What about you?”

“Yeah, my day’s going to be busy too?”

“Yeah.”

“Will you take Yuji-kun with you today?”

“Yes.”

“What shall we have for dinner?”

“I don’t know, what do you feel like having?”

“I want some beef today.”

“You think we can afford it?”

“I get paid today, remember?”

“How could I not? You wouldn’t stop talking about it last week.”

“So can we have beef today?”

“Fine, beef it is.”

“Nice!”

“Shouldn’t you be on your way right now?”

“Oh, thanks for reminding me!”

“Uh-hm!”

“Oh!”

Mark turned around and gave Aki a quick kiss on the lips. She gently bounced a little eight-month-old baby boy in her arms.

“See you tonight,” Aki said.

“You too,” Mark said.

“Have a good day, babe!” she said as he walked out the door. Aki carried the baby with her back to the living room to begin her work day.
